thesis project “Shayd” is looking to
expand its team!
Shayd is an immersive virtual world project
on one of the largest Head Mounted Displays
in the world. At 30 feet by 30 feet, users
can put on the HMD and walk around in an interactive and immersive virtual space.
Shayd is a planet with an alternate dimension portal that can be accessed through
alien technology (the HMD). As a stranger to the deserted planet, you, the player,
use the technology to meet the natives of the alternate world, peaceful aliens who
are very interested in you.
Shayd is meant to feel like a theme park attraction.
We are looking for aspiring theme park creative
engineers within various disciplines! We have
Unity3D already set up to operate with our HMD
equipment and are looking to push the technologies
capabilities!
Programmers/Engineers:
* use player motion data information to animate
player body rig in Unity
* interpret player input to facilitate NPC interaction
* simple AI: learn and implement basic game AI
Artists:
* 3D environmental artists
* 3D character modeling
* 3D Animators
* Motion Capture Artists & Actors
* theatrical set designer (building in spring semester)
* painters, 2D concept artists
* sculptors/set builders (building in spring semester)
